Network Rail's Link-Up "Core Module" Compliance

This support offered by HCC relates to either client's who have never been subject to a "Link-Up" audit before or existing "Link-Up" approved client's who require ongoing annual support to maintain their registration.

The support offered by HCC Consulting for system generation/implementation is as follows:

  • Generation and/or amendment of existing H&S policy document (to ensure Network Rail & current H&S legislative compliance)
  • Review of existing method statements and risk assessments related to any rail activities (as above)
  • Generation of documents in support of the recruitment & competence management process
  • Initial review of relevant H&S & Network Rail Group/Company standards to verify compliance
  • Generation of all relevant policy statements (to meet Group/Company standards requirements)
  • Amendment of required elements for link-up into existing ISO 9001:2000 system (if applicable)
  • Full system internal audit to verify compliance prior to Link-Up audit
  • Attendance at Link-Up proof audit

How much is it going to cost?

This will depend on many factors, the size and complexity of the organisation, how controlled their work activities are at present, what needs to be implemented to achieve compliance etc...

In most cases the support costs for implementation range from £3500

The support costs for annual maintenance are normally from £1500

The support offered by HCC Consulting for system maintenance is as follows:

  • Support as the "competent person" safety advisor for Network Rail compliance
  • Amendment of H&S policy document, as necessary, (to ensure Network Rail & current H&S legislative compliance)
  • Review of existing method statements and risk assessments related to any rail activities (as above)
  • Review and update, as necessary, of the recruitment/competence management process and active records
  • Annual monitoring of H&S legislation & Network Rail Group/Company standards to maintain ongoing compliance
  • Issue of bi-monthly HCC publication on NR standards plus monthly HCC publication on H&S, Environment and Employment legislation changes.
  • Maintenance of all relevant policy statements (to meet Group/Company standards requirements)
  • Reviewof required elements for link-up into existing ISO 9001:2000 system (if applicable)
  • Full system internal audit to verify compliance prior to Link-Up audit
  • Attendance at subsequent Link-Up proof audit
