Building & Construction Training

Building & Construction Training

The CSCS card will be mandatory for entry onto all building sites in 2010. By that time all employees on a building site will have to have at least the basic Health and Safety test. All major construction companies across the country are demanding that all new employees already have this card because it means that their liability insurance is dramatically discounted due to the fact that employees are “signing,” to take responsibility for their own Health and Safety.

HCC Training is now able to offer the Health and Safety Operatives test backed up by a half day course. The purpose of the half day intensive course is to cover all the knowledge necessary to pass the exam. The course will consist of a presentation covering all topics followed by a short construction skills video on site safety. A short refreshments break (refreshments provided) before a practice test is completed by the whole group. The practice test will enable the trainer to give complete and personal assistance to the candidate in terms of both course content and use of the systems. The practice test will show up any areas within the course content that need to be reiterated before the final exam is sat. The exam is made up of a series of multiple choice questions which the candidate must complete within an extremely generous 45 minute time slot.
